Campus Recreation Fields

Sign up to participate in the 2nd annual Battle of the Undergraduate Colleges Field Day event. Registration will be open until Thursday, October 13 at 12:00 PM.

Check in at your Undergraduate College Tent on the Campus Recreation Fields at 11:30 AM sharp! The fields are located across from the train station (please refer to the back of your 101 Textbook).

**Please Note: In the event of rain, all activities will be canceled. Any cancellations will be posted here 24 hours prior to the event start time.

Rules and Regulations

Field Day is open to all undergraduate students. Online pre-registration is required for the tournament style events. Due to time conflicts students can participate in one tournament only; participation for all other events will be open on that day.

Schedule

Time Event
11:30 AM Check-in
12:00 PM Welcome (events will begin immediately following)
3:00 PM Food and closing remarks
6:00 PM Football Game bonus (Field Day winners to be announced)

Events

  • Kickball Tournament
    Maximum of two teams per Undergraduate College; each team will consist of no more than 12 players.

  • 3-v-3 Basketball Tournament
    Maximum of two teams per Undergraduate College; each team will consist of 5 players (with no more then 3 players on the court at one time).

  • 3-Legged Race
    Between 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM, teams of two will compete for best recorded time. The best recorded time for each Undergraduate College will count towards overall scoring. Each team may only participate once.

  • Shuttle Relay Race
    Relay teams will consist of 4 runners. Teams will compete for best recorded time. The best recorded time for each Undergraduate College will count towards overall scoring. Each team may only participate once.

  • Tug-of-War
    One team per Undergraduate College; each team will consist of 10 players (minimum of 3 females per team).

Scoring

Scores will be given for each individual event based on ranking. Bracket scoring will be used for the following events: Kickball, 3-v-3 Basketball and Tug-of-War (scoring will vary depending on participation). The final scores for each event will be tallied to provide each Undergraduate College Team with an overall score for the day.

Overall scores will be distributed as follows:

  • 1st place—100 points
  • 2nd place—90 points
  • 3rd place—80 points
  • 4th place—70 points
  • 5th place—60 points
  • 6th place—50 points
