ACH and the Career Center Team Up to Raise Over $7,000 for St. Baldrick's
On Thursday, April 7th, the Tabler Center for the Arts, Culture, and Humanities was transformed into a makeshift hair salon/barber shop as students from all across campus came to donate their hair, money, or time to benefit St. Baldrick's, Locks of Love, and Pantene's Beautiful Lengths campaign. 40 students and/or staff members shaved their heads, 38 ponytails were donated, and $7,360 was raised to help fund research for childhood cancers. Students, administrators and staff also took part in this event and were cheered on by more than 100 students who came through the Tabler Center to show their support. This was a wonderful event co-sponsored by Stony Brook's Career Center and the Undergraduate College of Arts, Culture, and Humanities.
