- Advice for freshmen: Never be afraid to reach out! Every resource is at your fingertips, and help is there for you. Come to your Fellows or RA’s for literally anything. Don’t worry about fitting in. Asking questions about what you are interested in will get you involved and meeting new people. I love to help, never hesitate to approach me for anything.
- Hobbies/Interests: Playing the string bass, cheerleading, politics
Amanda Talmadge

- Advice for freshmen: Getting involved along with time management will definitely help you adjust to college. It's important to get to know your advisors and professors. They are a great help.

- Advice for freshmen: I advise freshmen to speak up and get involved.

- Advice for freshmen: Be open to meeting new people. Don’t be afraid to just walk up to someone and start talking. Stony Brook is a great place and you need to embrace it to be happy.

- Advice for freshmen: I am sure you are excited to finally be at college, but you also might be scared. You are not alone! My advice to you is to get involved with your college by joining clubs and attending the many events Stony Brook has to offer. You’ll have fun while having a chance to meet new people and make friends.

- Advice for freshmen: Get ~100s on all the midterms and relax during finals week! (Caution: An "Overdose" of "FUN" could make you repent for it all your life)
- Hobbies/Interests: Singing, art - fine art, crafts, swimming, cooking, baking, designing, the human body, travelling, leadership, gaining knowledge, making friends, shopping, browsing the internet and most importantly - HAVING FUN!

- Advice for freshmen: It is important from the beginning to make yourself known at Stony Brook. Definitely go to professors' office hours, and participate in class.

- Advice for freshmen: Getting involved on campus is key. Networking, going to office hours and not leaving things to the last minute are important. Overall, make sure you are getting the most out of your college experience.

- Advice for freshmen: Get involved! You'll be amazed at the opportunities that come to you through the clubs or organizations you join and all of the amazing people you'll meet! Also, don’t go to sleep in class, you'll regret it.

- Advice for freshmen: Don't be shy when trying to make friends, chances are everyone feels exactly like you do. Always keep school a priority- when you start letting other things get in the way, that’s when you start losing control.
- Hobbies/Interests: I love Bollywood dancing, sewing, cooking, hanging out with my friends, and studying.

- Advice for freshmen: Don't put aside textbook readings as the semester progresses. You'll end up losing track of the amount of pages/chapters you need to read and you'll be in trouble for midterms and finals. Try your very best to manage a good GPA for your first semester so you'll have that safety net created for you for the future semesters to come. Another important thing is: GET INVOLVED. There's so much our campus has to offer, don't miss out!
