Instructor Conference

The First-Year Seminar 101 Instructor Conference is an all-day training for new and returning 101 instructors as well as Undergraduate College Fellows (teaching assistants of the 101 seminar). The conference offerings and schedule are created by the 101 Curriculum Committee in conjunction with the Undergraduate Colleges office. Presenters consist of past instructors and faculty members.

The conference is typically held on the first Wednesday in August. This date is placed as such to align both with summer orientation schedules (which typically take a break during this week) and the hiring of new residence hall directors (who teach a 101 seminar and start their employment contract the first monday in August).
