University Scholars

University Scholars is a program for high-achieving freshmen that focuses on creating a community of learners dedicated to scholarship, leadership, and service. University Scholars is a networking platform to help students get the most out of their Stony Brook experience. Through this program students are able to make connections with other high achieving students and our world class faculty. Students will also be able to participate in various leadership and research opportunities throughout campus.

SUNY Levin/JFEW Scholar in International Relations and Global Affairs

This program begins after Labor Day with an orientation to the field of international relations and will include monthly seminars during the fall and spring. Scholars will have an opportunity to attend special events taking place at the SUNY Global Center in NYC and at the United Nations throughout the year. The program includes substantial scholarship support during the junior and senior years of undergraduate study. Each student will be placed in a paid summer internship for Summer 2012 in an international organization aligning with their career interests. This program has been brought to Stony Brook University by the SUNY Levin Institute and the SBU Office of International Academic Programs & Services, and is funded by the Jewish Foundation for the Education of Women.
