Eugenia Murphy
Bookkeeper - I graduated in Fall of 2002 from Suffolk County Community College with an A.S. in Computer Science knowing that in order to pursue further in this curriculum I needed a strong background. I then went to Stony Brook for one more semester in order to take the classes necessary to pursue the Master's degree in Computer Science. Realizing how unhappy I was with this curriculum at Stony Brook, I decided not to return this semester. I am now working, for the time being, in the payroll department of a local franchise corporation. I am thinking about possibly going for a degree/certificate in accounting. We will see what the future holds.
Julie Passanante
Graduate Student - I'm currently a second-year Ph.D. candidate in the American Studies Department at George Washington University in Washington , DC . While I haven't chosen a dissertation topic yet, it will most likely be conversant with queer theory and disability studies. I absolutely love studying here, and I'm enjoying teaching (thanks to the Stony Brook Writing Center for all that teaching experience!). I got engaged to fellow Stony Brook University Alum, David Elman. We're getting married in 2006! We're currently living in Old Town Alexandria, a beautiful town in Northern Virginiawith Civil War-era cobblestone streets and architecture. We recently adopted a black lab mutt and named her Scully, after the much-beloved X-Files heroine. She's a sweetie!

Lawyer - After graduating, I went to Hofstra's Law school, Journal of International Business and Law—Managing Editor for Production; Moot Court Association—Staff Manager. I graduated this past May and took the New York State Bar Exam. I will work this fall at Smith Mazure, P.C.

Medical Student I am currently a second year medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse , NY . I am thinking about a career in surgery (most likely neurosurgery or cardiothoracic). I plan on moving back to NYC for my residency.
