Bicycling on Campus
Stony Brook University encourages the University community to bring and utilize a bicycle to navigate the campus. Our bicycle paths provide a scenic, environmentally friendly and convenient way to travel about campus.
The University community can also utilize the various bike racks on campus free of charge. For more information on the Stony Brook University bike paths, please see the Paul Simons Memorial Bicycle Path below.

The Paul Simons Memorial Bicycle Path

The Paul Simons Memorial Bicycle Path (view map) was built in memory of Paul Simons, a former Stony Brook student and avid cyclist. The six-mile long path is open to students, faculty, staff, and to the public.
