|LEED Rating:||Constructed To LEED Certification|
The CEWIT building is designed to consume a minimum of 20% less energy than similar New York State Energy Code compliant buildings. Several strategies were deliberated to achieve this goal, including: The overall percentage of vision glass on the building has been kept within a reasonable range to prevent excessive heat gain.
Extensive, engineered sun-shading devises have been designed for the vision glass on the South and West facades, again to stop significant heat gain on these critical sides of the building. High-performance glass will be used to also reduce heat gain.
High efficiency mechanical systems including primary only variable speed pumping.
