Energy Conservation Measures being taken at the Administration Garage

You may have noticed some of the overhead lights in the Administration Garage are off during the day. These light fixtures have recently been connected to timers that will turn them off during daylight hours. The affected light fixtures are located over the parking spaces on the outer perimeter of the garage; which receive ample light during the day.

While the savings are small when compared to the University's total energy consumption, this measure will save about 82,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy per year and reduce our annual carbon dioxide emissions by about 100 tons.
