Stony Brook University's beautiful campus is a great place to bike! Biking is a healthy and environmentally friendly form of transportation and it's often faster and easier to get where you're going by bike. The interactive bicycle rack map was created in order to help make the community's biking experience more informative, convenient and enjoyable. Stony Brook University bicycle racks are available to the University community free of charge and are available on a first come, first serve basis.
The use of Stony Brook University bike racks is free, however bicycles may not be left secured to University bike racks for more than thirty (30) days. Bicycles left secured to University bike racks for over thirty (30) days may be considered abandoned and subject to seizure by University Police. At no time are bicycles permitted to be secured to signage, posts, light poles, bus shelters, bollards, benches, doorways, trees, buildings, fences and/or other University infrastructure. Bicycles found in violation of this statute, and/or posing a safety hazard/obstruction in any manner are subject to immediate seizure by University Police.
