The College at Old Westbury is a partner of the regional Long Island LSAMP consortium. Together with the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) and the Computer Science, Engineering and Math Scholarship (CSEMS) Program, the LSAMP Program is housed in the College's Science Training and Education Program. This combined arrangement of the various programs facilitates our effectiveness in advancing the needs of the students.

LSAMP

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Must be a full-time college student majoring in science, mathematics, or computer science
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5

CSTEP

  • In addition to the LSAMP criteria, students must be New York State residents. Students majoring in accounting, health science, and some social sciences are also eligible
