Summer Sessions

Current Students & Incoming Freshman

Enrollment begins April 9th for Seniors. Open Enrollment for all other students begins April 10th. Incoming fall freshman can get an early start on their Stony Brook experience during the summer. Summer Sessions offers popular required courses. Get to know the campus before the fall rush and connect with peers. Summer Sessions is a perfect time to:

• Lighten your fall and spring course loads
• Improve a grade
• Focus on one or two courses
• Fulfill requirements for a minor
• Study abroad

It's Easy to Attend Summer Sessions

If you have been admitted for the Fall 2013 semester as a freshman and have received your Stony Brook ID number, please call the office at 631-632-7790 or e-mail summerschool@stonybrook.edu. Your account will then be activated to register.

Currently enrolled students and freshman may register for classes on the SOLAR System.

If you have already graduated from Stony Brook University with an undergraduate degree please visit the School of Professional Development to be admitted as a visiting non-matriculated graduate student.
