

Winter 2013 in Ireland
Program Type: Group experience led by SBU faculty

“Ireland was the last of four Study Abroad Programs I participated in as an SBU student. Seeing Galway, Kilkenny, and Dublin allowed me to experience the variety of landscapes, people, and cultural traditions that make Ireland unique.”
“There's so much history in Ireland - all of the castles, churches and abbeys we visited were centuries old, and some of them are still in use today.”
Courses Offered:
Participants must a take a total of 4 credits.
Students will select ONE of the following:
• HIS 208 Ireland from St. Patrick to the Present (DEC I) – 3 credits
• HIS 392 Topics in European History (DEC I) – 3 credits
All students will register for the following:
• HIS 447 Independent Readings in History – 1 credit
Health Insurance:
International coverage through the SUNY provider, HTH Worldwide, is mandatory and included in the Program Fee.
