Program Description: Ireland’s rich cultural heritage endured the colonial period and then the more recent post industrial eras as one of the “Celtic Tigers.” Students will begin their exploration in Galway, then heading to the site of one of the first English Plantations – Kilkenny. The trip wraps up in Dublin, the capital of this flourishing nation. Day trips will include visiting the Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, Waterford and Belfast! Through visits to cliffs and castles, cathedrals and tombs, fortresses and museums, mountains and more, students will explore the vibrant history and culture of Ireland.

From Program Alumni:

“Ireland was the last of four Study Abroad Programs I participated in as an SBU student. Seeing Galway, Kilkenny, and Dublin allowed me to experience the variety of landscapes, people, and cultural traditions that make Ireland unique.”
