Program Description: Deakin University has a passion for International education and the Australian Studies Summer School offers you the chance to satisfy you intellectual and cultural curiosity about one of the world’s most diverse, friendly and harmonious cultures. This unit will provide you cultural orientation skills; information, experiences, analyses and interactions which will inform, entertain and heighten your understanding of Australia today. Offered at the beautiful Geelong Waterfront campus, on Corlo bay and just 50 mins by train to Melbourne’s CBD, the program includes cultural trips to Melbourne and a Learn to surf weekend on the world famous Great Ocean Road.
Students receive 4 credits, and a DEC J.

Program Costs:
- $60 Application Processing Fee
- $200 Administrative Fee (non-refundable)
- Tuition costs: $232 per credit for New York residents, $675 per credit for non-residents
- $3,400 Program Fee: (includes shared room, textbooks, airport transfer, two day learn to surf and Great Ocean Road tour, train travel to and from Melbourne City, all museum tours)
- Airfare: Once accepted, students are encouraged to book flights early to secure the best fare
Eligibility:
- IAPS may take the opportunity to interview candidates to determine their qualifications for participating and representing Stony Brook University abroad.
- GPA 3.0
