Konkuk University, conveniently located in Seoul, is one of the leading private universities in Korea and generally regarded as one of the top 10 universities in Korea out of over 370 universities and colleges. Introduction:
The Yonsei International Summer School (YISS) opened its doors in 1985 and since
then, YISS has become an integral part of campus life based on a unique blend of
Korean and global cultures. YISS continues to
grow and evolve, accommodating the needs of a rapidly changing student body and

The 2011 program has been revamped in order to highlight growing interest in the

Hankuk University of Foreign Studies
International Summer School

Program Description:
HUFS is composed of two campuses, the Seoul campus located in the eastern region
of the nation's capital city, and its suburban campus in Yong-in, which is about
an hour and a half drive from the Seoul campus. Founded as Korea’s only institution
of higher education focusing in foreign languages, HUFS produced a first class of
133 graduates in 1958 and began to broaden the reach of Korea toward the world.
In 1978, HUFS became the largest college in Korea with four divisions and 28 departments
and recruited 1,005 new students each year.
