Program Description:
The city of Konstanz is located at the intersection of Germany, Switzerland, and
Austria. Situated on the Bodensee (or Lake Konstanz) in the foothills of the Swiss
Alps, its unique geography lends itself to outdoor pursuits of all kinds. It is
home to the Universität Konstanz where participants will have the opportunity to
take German language courses, as well as to fulfill Diversified Education Curriculum
(DEC) requirements at one of Germany’s premier research institutions.

Undergraduate Coursed Offered:
Students will take 6 credits of German language and culture fulfilling SBU’s Skill
3 and DEC I.
Living Arrangements:
Participants will be housed in residence halls at the Universität Konstanz.
Health Insurance:
International coverage through the SUNY provider, HTH Worldwide, is mandatory and included in the Program Fee.

Summer 2013 in Berlin
Program Type: International Summer School at one of SBU's partner universities
Dates: July 13 - August 10, 2013
Program Description:
This summer SBU offers students the opportunity to experience International Summer School at FreieUniversität Berlin, one of Germany’s top ranked and most prestigious universities. Participants will earn six academic credits while immersed in one of the world’s most exciting and cosmopolitan cities known for its history, diverse architecture, museums, contemporary art scene, and universities

Participants will register for 6 credits (two courses) fulfilling several Diversified Education Curriculum (DEC) categories. Specifics coming soon!
Living Arrangements:
Participants will be housed in single rooms in shared apartments near campus.
Health Insurance:
