Program Description:
Experience International Summer School at the University of Hertfordshire, one of SBU’s most popular partner universities! Hertfordshire University is in close proximity to London via public transportation (about 30-45 minutes), provides college town atmosphere near a major international city. Participants will earn 6 upper division credits fulfilling DEC F, as well as a DEC D or a DEC G.
Program Highlights:
- Excursions include Harry Potter World, The Globe Theater, and Buckingham Palace
- Tours of London, Cambridge, and St. Albans
- Close proximity to London (about 30-45 minutes via public transportation)
Courses Offered:
Participants will register for 6 total credits comprised of the following courses:
Global Perspectives in Business – DEC F
European Cinema and Culture – DEC D or DEC G (students may elect one but not both DEC categories!)
Living Arrangements:
Participants will be housed in residence halls on the University of Hertfordshire campus
Health Insurance:
International coverage through the SUNY provider, HTH Worldwide, is mandatory and included in the Program Fee
- $60 Application Processing Fee
- $200 Administrative Fee (non-refundable)
- Tuition costs: $232 per credit for New York residents, $675 per credit for non-residents
- $3,500 Program Fee: (includes housing, 2 meals per day, group excursions, books, and international health insurance)
- Airfare: All participants will fly as a group. Upon acceptance, students will be given the necessary flight information and will purchase tickets individually. Students are encouraged to book early to secure the best price.
Eligibility:
- Language proficiency is NOT required
- All undergraduates in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) may apply
Application Deadline:
- Application deadline extended to May 1, 2013.
- Applicants are notified of an admissions decision on a rolling basis, so the sooner one applies, the sooner one can receive a decision!
- Late applications considered at the Study Abroad Advisor’s discretion.
