How to Apply as an Outgoing Study Abroad/Exchange Student:

1. Complete online application via Apply Yourself and pay the non-refundable $60 processing fee with a valid credit card.
2. A complete online application includes all of the following, which will be submitted with the online form accessible via Apply Yourself
• One page, typed Study Statement.
• Transcript from your home university. Because you will upload this document, you may use an official copy that has been removed from the envelope. Please retain the document in case we must request it at a later date. Scan in black and white, at low resolution, then upload. If you need assistance, go to a campus computer lab.
• Passport copy (Upload a legible copy of the information page of your passport).*
• The names and email addresses of 2 academic references.
3. Upon submission of your COMPLETE application, IAPS will evaluate it and send you an admissions decision (processing times vary depending on program).  If accepted, you will receive your SBU ID number and additional instructions at a later date.
4. Please print and keep a copy of your application for your records once you have submitted it electronically.
