Program Description: PAX (Program for Academic eXchange) is designed to facilitate international cooperation and exchange with partner institutions of NCHU. It offers exchange students (non-degree seeking students) diverse courses in Chinese or English offered by Colleges of Liberal Arts, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Social Sciences and Management, Life Sciences, and Science.

Program Costs:

• $200 Administrative fee (non-refundable)
• $750 Program fee per semester
• $2,785 SUNY Undergraduate Tuition per semester for NY residents, $8,095 per semester for non-residents
• $97/month (approximately): International Health Insurance must be purchased through Stony Brook University
• $4,000 (approximately): Students pay room, board, books, transportation, and other university fees directly to overseas university
• $2,000 (approximately): Students are responsible for their travel arrangements including airfare, visa costs

* Housing arrangements are coordinated directly with the partner university. Cost will vary depending on accommodation types and personal preference.

* Cost Comparison: The average cost for a full time Stony Brook Student including tuition, insurance, housing, and meal plan is approximately $10,445 in-state and $15,735 out-of-state.
