    • How to Apply as an Outgoing Study Abroad/Exchange Student: 

    1.  Complete online application via Apply Yourself and pay the non-refundable $60 processing fee with a valid credit card. 

    2.  In addition to the online application form itself, a complete application includes all of the following supporting documents: 
            

    • One page, typed Study Statement (Download here).
    • Transcript from your home university (Because you will upload this document, you may use an official copy that has been removed from the envelope. Please retain the document in case we must request it at a later date.)
    • Passport Copy (Upload a legible copy of the information page of your passport).
    • Stony Brook University Disclaimers Form. (Download here).

    3.  When you have completed these supporting documents, please upload them to Apply Yourself (hard copies will not be accepted).

    4.  Upon submission of your COMPLETE application, IAPS will evaluate it and send you an admissions decision via e-mail (processing times vary depending on program).  If accepted, you will receive your SBU ID number and additional instructions, also via e-mail. 

    5.  Please print and keep a copy of your application for your records once you have submitted it electronically.
