Required Orientation Program
All new students are required to participate in a series of three interactive webinars designed to:
- provide a full understanding of the program's goals and expectations;
- instruct students on conducting research; and
- guide them in the development of citation skills.
A fourth webinar on Online Learning at the School of Professional Development, is recommended but not required. All webinars will be conducted via SB Connect. Students should reserve the following dates on their calendars.
1. Orientation Webinar (Required)
Webinars for Students Admitted for Summer/Fall 2013
Admitted students must attend one of the following webinar sessions presented by Dr. Rick Gatteau, HEA Faculty Director and Samantha Segal, Assistant Director.
- Wednesday, May 8 @ 5 PM EST
- Wednesday, July 31 @ 5 PM EST
- Wednesday, August 7 @ 12PM EST

2. Research Skills for HEA Students (Required)

This webinar is presented by the instructional librarians at their SB Connect meeting site. Access instructions will be emailed to all of those who register in advance.
