Advanced Graduate Certificate Program in
Information Systems Management

The Advanced Graduate Certificate Program in Information Systems Management (ISM) is a graduate professional development program which provides an opportunity to combine management education with technical training in specific areas related to information systems. The program is useful for different types of students. For students without formal training in management of information systems, the program can be used as an introduction to the field. For students having experience in related areas (e.g., managers in business, government and other fields), the program offers specialized courses in selected subjects such as systems analysis and design, database management, telecommunications, expert systems, and personal computing. For technical workers in the information systems field without formal managerial training, the program offers managerial courses.

The ISM program is offered in collaboration with the College of Business and articulates with its Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program and the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies offered through SPD. If you intend to pursue the MBA degree at Stony Brook, please refer to the University's Graduate Bulletin for any additional admission requirements.
