Stony Brook University and St. John’s University are pleased to announce an articulation agreement that benefits our EDL graduates who are planning to pursue a doctoral degree. EDL and SDBL alumni who have successfully completed their programs can apply to St. John's DAIL program in Administrative and Instructional Leadership and transfer 30 credits. The remaining 30 credits for the Ed.D. will completed at Stony Brook and St. John's.

How It Works

After transferring 30 EDL program credits, students will take the first six Ed.D. program credits on the Stony Brook campus at the SUNY graduate tuition rates.  Thereafter, the remainder of the program (24 credits) will be completed at St. John’s at their Oakdale campus at St. John’s graduate tuition rate.
