Registration Information
Three Ways to Register
Mail In. Fill out the course
registration form and mail it with your check or credit card information
to the address listed below.
Fax In. Send the registration
form with your credit card information to (631) 632-5794. Our FAX line
is open 24 hours.
Walk In. You may register
in person by coming to SPD in the Ward Melville Social and Behavioral
Science Building, Room N250. Fill out the registration form and pay by
check or credit card, Monday-Friday from 10:00 am-5:00 pm.
You will receive email notification with one week prior to the start of class with room assignments.
Policy and Procedures
Refunds. Sorry, there are
no refunds unless a course is canceled by the School of Professional Development
(SPD). We make a determination to run each course based upon enrollment
five business days before the first class session. Your registration fee
guarantees you a space and is the key to our decision to run the course.
Registration Dates. Registration
for all courses begins immediately and is accepted up to five business
days before the first class session. After that, please call for space
availability. Registrations are processed in the order they are received.
Fees. All fees are due at
the time of registration. Students registering for certificate programs
must notify the office at the time of registration. Discounts may not
be applied retroactively. Registration is accepted up to five business
days prior to first class session.
Cancellation. SPD makes
the decision to offer each course based on advanced registration. We reserve
the right to cancel a course if there is insufficient enrollment. In the event of cancellation, an e-mail notification will be sent. To avoid
disappointment, register early!
Corporate Discounts. A 10%
fee reduction is available to organizations enrolling three or more individuals
in a combination of programs or courses at the same time.

Registration forms for courses offered by SPD's Division of Career Development
are available as a PDF document. These forms are only for non-credit
courses
offered by the SPD's Division of Career Development.

Directions
- Parking - Campus Map
Classes are held in on the the first floor of the Ward Melville Social
and Behavioral Sciences Building (SBS), which is located on the main Stony
Brook campus. The SBS Building is directly behind the visitor parking
garage. Detailed travel information can be found on the Directions
