Professional Skills Development Certificate Program
This program is designed to enhance and develop the diverse
skills needed to compete in today's workforce. The curriculum consists
of professional development and computer training courses. The format
for all training is interactive and hands-on. All topics are selected
based on the current industry needs of the Long Island business community.
Each course should enhance the student's competence and give them the
latest office skills improving their employability.
The program consists of three sections - professional development,
computer training and computer lab practice. The program comprises 225
hours and was designed to be completed in approximately 10 weeks. The
fee is $3,375.
Dislocated workers may be eligible for funded retraining
programs through the Workforce Development Center.

Computer Lab
Practice Time
Participants receive 27 hours of instructor-assisted practice time in
SPD's PC-equipped computer labs.
