Fundamentals of Marketing

NCE 750 • four sessions • Fee: $395
This introductory course will cover the many dimensions of marketing principles. Students will explore market research, developing a business/marketing plan, target/test strategies, marketing vs sales, branding; internet options, customer service vs customer loyalty, why price is not king and more. There will discussions on some famous marketing success stories and failures. At the completion of this class students should have a good understanding of marketing principles and methods.
Required Text: Ultimate Small Business Advisor: All You Need to Know 4th Edition (ISBN 9781599180854) Cost of text is not included in the course fee. Students must read Chapters 3 and 4 and bring textbook to the first class meeting. (CD will not be used in class)
