Cynthia Scalzo, Secretary

"Cindy" comes to us from the Division of Campus Residence, Tabler Quad. Cindy's primary function is to assist our faculty members with various clerical duties, book ordering and making sure our supply cabinet is always full. Cindy is married and has two teenage children: an almost twenty year old daughter and a sixteen going on forty year old son. She enjoys gardening, boating, fishing and music, and is a returning student at Suffolk Community College.

Maria Moore, Office of Student Services

Maria's primary function is to assist undergraduate and graduate students as they pursue their studies at the College of Business. Maria is a dedicated professional who enjoys working with students in providing them with the support and guidance they need. Maria's background as an International Student Exchange Admissions Manager as well as her broad experience as an International Loan Syndication Manager, affords Maria with the ability to effectively handle academic administrative issues. Her professional interests and strengths particularly within the international business sector, provides her with a keen sense of knowledge to service student needs.

Michele Smorra, Office of Student Services

Michele's primary function is greet people, manage the telephone traffice, handle correspondence, and perform a multitude of clerical duties as part of the OSS team. I have been at Stony Brook since 1985. I worked in Management Systems from 1985 until 1989, and then spent two years at Coram Health. Since 1991, I helped manage office operations for Occupational Medicine. I have three married children, two grandchildren and one on the way.

Patrice Virgilio, Office of Student Services

Patrice's primary function is to assist undergraduate and graduate students as they pursue their studies at the College of Business. Patrice is a positive and dedicated professional who enjoys working with students in providing them with the support and guidance they need. With a background as a Marketing Manager and Director of Career Placement, Patrice's diverse experience allows her to be an effective trouble shooter and problem solver within the academic arena. Her professional interests and strengths are working with students offering counseling, advisement, support and encouragement to assist students in obtaining their individual success.

Ronee Baldwin, Assistant to the Dean

As Senior Staff Assistant to the Dean of the College of Business, Ronee wears many hats. Her main function is to oversee all personnel and budget transactions for the school. The hat that is never removed though is the one to help students, along with our Office of Student Services and faculty, with the myriad of challenges that face you as you climb the ladder of success. She tries to make the Dean's office a welcoming place for students, faculty, and staff.

She has a degree in Education and Sociology. She serves on many University committees and mentor students from underrepresented groups. She is an avid reader, love surfing the net, an animal lover, and the mother of two college-aged children. She is looking forward to meeting with you.
