Message from President Shirley Strum Kenny
The strength of our University community is evident in the great things we have achieved together. Since 1999, Stony Brook has observed an annual "Year of Community," celebrating aspects of our life together, such as leadership, ethical behavior, and mentoring for success.
This year, our theme will be "Giving." Offering our action, compassion, time, and support to others is essential to the health of our community. While we work toward making our capital campaign a success, we must remember that these other, equally important, contributions enrich and expand our common experience.
This year's planning committee is jointly chaired by Professor Paul Lombardo (Director, Division of Clinical Sciences; Chair of the Department of Physician Assistant Education), Joanne Morici (Editorial Director, Office of Communications), Wei-Wei Zhang (Undergraduate Student), and Paul Ion Fodor (Graduate Student).
Join us to honor and promote the spirit of giving at Stony Brook.
