At Stony Brook, Tradition is Red Hot

Our color? Think red, as in red hot. By every measure of success — student achievements, faculty scholarship and teaching honors, pioneering scientific and medical research, quality health care, community service, athletics — Stony Brook University has attained national recognition and is at the forefront of exciting change.

In honor of our rising star and to proclaim our pride, we've initiated a new tradition on campus: Students, faculty, and staff wear the signature Stony Brook red at games and on Fridays to show support for our NCAA Division I Seawolves.
