School of Professional Development
The School of Professional Development offers post-baccalaureate credit programs at the masters and advanced graduate certificate levels, including non-credit offerings in career development and community outreach.
Programs are either part-time or full-time and are offered on campus in the evening, off-campus in extension sites, through collaboration with Teacher Centers and School Districts, during the summer, on weekends, and through SPD Online. Students may take individual courses or the entire MA/LS online.
SPD is scheduling select graduate courses in Southampton beginning with the Fall 2007 term. Students who choose to matriculate in the MA/LS degree program may combine courses scheduled at Southampton with those offered online to complete their degree. For information on how to apply, click here.
MFA in Writing & Literature
Application for admission to the Graduate School is made to a specific program for a specific degree. For the M.F.A. in Writing and Literature, applicants must fulfill both the Graduate School admission requirements and the specific requirements for the M.F.A. in Writing and Literature. See sections I and II for details on these requirements. Click here for our online application form. Please note that applications for Admission to the M.F.A. in Writing and Literature are made to M.F.A. in Writing and Literature Program and not to the Graduate School.

Application Deadline:
The MFA program in Writing and Literature accepts applications for admission on a rolling basis. To receive full consideration for admission with financial support, complete admission and financial aid applications should be filed by January 15 for the fall semester and October 1 for the spring semester.
