MAJORS, MINORS & PROGRAMS
We offer more than 100 majors and minors for undergraduates. Whatever you’re interested in, you’ll find a program at Stony Brook that’s just right for you. Stony Brook’s combined degree programs allow students to use graduate credits towards their undergraduate degree, thereby accelerating completion of both degrees. Our special honors curriculum offers a variety of interdisciplinary courses.

A member of the prestigious Association of American Universities, Stony Brook offers an exciting range of outstanding academic programs, including undergraduate research opportunities. We are one of ten universities given a National Science Foundation recognition award for integrating research and undergraduate education. Conduct research in a practice room or a lab, a company on Long Island or a New York City art museum–or even in Madagascar.
