Stony Brook offers more than 240 organizations and clubs on campus and an extensive intramural athletics program. The Student Activities Center features a 3,000-square-foot fitness center, an international food court, student lounges, game rooms, and an art gallery.
Go Seawolves! Stony Brook's Division I-AA football team competes against Albany, Lehigh, Hofstra, and New Hampshire. Our other Division I sports compete in the America East Conference. Our Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium seats 8,300 and boasts a state-of-the-art playing surface.
The Eugene Weidman Wellness Center has an aerobic fitness training area and an exercise studio. The Sports Complex facilities include courts for basketball and squash, a running track, a dance studio, weight rooms, and a pool.
The Staller Center for the Arts is a regional showcase for international theater, film, music, and dance. Stony Brook is a melting pot of cultures, a place where diversity offers a world of possibilities. The Interfaith Center reflects the different religious traditions on campus, and the Charles B. Wang Center, celebrating Asian and American cultures, offers a vital, exciting space for multidisciplinary and multicultural dialogues.
