Dear Stony Brook Student,

We have good news for you regarding your Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). Aetna has agreed to maintain the existing coverage for Stony Brook University students who are insured through SHIP, until a new contract for SHIP is established in August 2010. Therefore you may continue to use the University Hospital Emergency Room, as well as all Hospital inpatient and outpatient services with no
interruption or change of coverage.
