Band Day

You are invited to attend the Third Annual Stony Brook University Band Day on Saturday, September 17. The game begins at 6:00 pm in beautiful LaValle Stadium as our defending conference champion Seawolves take on the Brown University Bears.

We are The Spirit of Stony Brook Marching Band: the only university marching band on Long Island; New York's hottest collegiate marching band; the country's fastest growing band. We are proud to be celebrating our 6th anniversary in the 2011 season and excited to continue to develop strong ties with Long Island and New York metro area schools.

Directors and students involved in our previous band days have said that they had an exceptional experience; they were energized and motivated to take their program to new heights and the connection they established with college students was meaningful and insightful for them.

Schedule at a Glance

12:00 pm: Arrive and set up for rehearsal at Athletic Fields
12:30 pm: Introductions & Team Builder
1:00 pm: Sectional rehearsals, mass band rehearsal
3:00 pm: Lunch/Dinner
4:30 pm: Battlefield March & Dorm Storm
5:00 pm: HS Band Tailgate Performances
5:30 pm: High School students seated in LaValle Stadium
6:00 pm: Kickoff!
Halftime: SBU and mass band performance
9:00 pm: Game ends. Visiting bands depart for home.
