University Logos for Web and Print

These logos are being made available for use on official Stony Brook publications, documents, and web sites. As officially approved symbols of Stony Brook University, these logos should be used appropriately and in preference to homegrown or outdated images. Please replace any previous versions you may be using with the logos below as appropriate.

The licensing program at Stony Brook is currently managed through the Licensing Resource Group (LRG). To view our style guide of approved logos and word marks, visit www.trademarxonline.com. If you have a vendor that you would like to join Stony Brook's licensing program, visit the LRG web site at www.lrgusa.com for an application and additional information

Formats
The logos are available in a variety of colors and formats for both print and online use. Three sizes are available in JPEG and GIF formats. Please use the size that most closely suits your needs.

TIFF format: These files are appropriate for use in most word processing and desktop publishing applications. You may adjust the size of the image (can be made smaller, but not larger), but must maintain the aspect ratio. Please do not make any other modifications to these files.

GIF format: These files are intended for use on official University web pages. They should not be used on any personal pages. Please do not resize or otherwise modify these files.

EPS format: These files are for use with high-end graphics programs to create printed presentations, brochures, and other literature. A program like Adobe Illustrator is necessary to open and manipulate the files. You may adjust the size of the image, but must maintain the aspect ratio. Please do not make any other modifications to these files.

GIF and TIFF files may be downloaded per the instructions below; to obtain EPS files, please email Anita.Lago@stonybrook.edu. Only Stony Brook University faculty or staff members may request EPS files.
