PROGRAM INFORMATION
The Junior Science and Humanities Symposia (JSHS) Program invites high school students to submit a paper on an original research investigation in the sciences, engineering, or mathematics, and to participate in Long Island Regional Symposium at Stony Brook University (SUNY) to be held on March 5, 2010.

All students in grades 9-12 enrolled in public, private, or home schools in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, NY, are eligible.

Application & Abstract Due: December 18, 2009
Research Paper Due: January 13, 2010
Notification of Selected Oral Presenter: Early-February, 2010
Symposium Registration Due: February 20, 2010
LI-JSHS Symposium: March 5, 2010

ABOUT JSHS
The Junior Science and Humanities Symposia (JSHS) Program promotes original research and experimentation in the sciences, engineering, and mathematics at the high school level and publicly recognizes students for outstanding achievement. By connecting talented students, their teachers, and research professionals at affiliated symposia and by rewarding research excellence, JSHS aims to widen the pool of trained talent prepared to conduct research and development vital to our nation. The JSHS is sponsored by US Army, Navy, and Air Force, and administered by Academy of Applied Science.
