Why I GiveAntoinette Otoo

ANTOINETTE OTOO, Senior, Homecoming Queen
We have what we have because of the contributions from many who have come before us. Imagine how grateful future classes would be if we continue the legacy of giving back to Stony Brook. No contribution is insignificant; after all, “little drops of water make the mighty ocean.” Thank you for helping the Class of 2007 to realize its dream of making history at Stony Brook University!

Sadia ArshadSADIA ARSHAD, Senior, Former President of SASA
Philanthropy and service are an integral part of the campus culture, and the South Asian Student Alliance (SASA) is proud to be a participant in the Student Giving Campaign. In last year’s campaign, our student organization contributed $1,000 and created the Christopher Samaria Memorial Annual Scholarship in honor of one of our beloved members. SASA has made the pledge to reach or surpass this amount each year.

Navneet SinghNAVNEET SINGH, Junior, President, Marching Band
From the Ballroom Dance Team to the Marching Band to Thillana, my time spent at Stony Brook is shaped by the clubs in which I am involved. I feel it is important to give back to the organizations that foster both diversity and unity at Stony Brook. By participating in the Student Giving Campaign, you can help maintain the clubs and organizations that help give Stony Brook its rich character.

Rosie ScvuzzoROSIE SCAVUZZO, Senior, Stony Brook at Albany Day Student Leader Coordinator
We at Stony Brook experience a unique and rich environment where both the university and students grow together. As we continue in our studies and work toward our goals, it is important to cultivate the connections we’ve made here and help our university to grow just as it has helped us grow. We’ve been given so much—now it’s our turn to give back.
