As a privately governed nonprofit corporation, the Stony Brook Foundation is led by a group of committed volunteers that comprise a Board of Trustees that includes the University President.
The Foundation's professional staff is led by the Foundation Executive Director, who is also the University's Vice President for Advancement, and the University's Vice President for Finance who also serves as the Foundation's Chief Financial Officer. Together, they manage the day-to-day operations of the Foundation.
