OPENING RECEPTION

Stony Brook Through My Eyes is a photography and mixed media exhibit created by students to document perspectives that reflect a variety of cultural experiences. Student participants include: Gbemudu Bonté, Keyana Brewer, Jennifer Grabowski, Elizabeth Khinda, Juanita Lara, Seporah Raizer, Yan Ling Ruan, Steven Villaverde, Harry Weil, Chris A. Williams. Curated by Kim M. Anderson.
Created in response to a Dialogues Across Differences grant, the display reflects not just the diversity of age, race, ethnicity, sexuality, and religion among the group, but also their diversity of lifestyles.
Participation was open to all students regardless of photographic expertise. The opening reception will include personal commentary by the students whose work is on display as well as a discussion about diversity on campus led by a Stony Brook University Diversity Fellow.
The Gallery is located the Student Activities Center, main floor, Stony Brook University. Gallery hours are 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
