The School of Nursing is one of six professional schools in the Health Sciences Center at Stony Brook University. We offer full and part-time educational programs in preparation for professional nursing practice at the basic and advanced levels: A Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. The Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, the Master's degree in Nursing, and the Doctor of Nursing Practice at Stony Brook School of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Registered nurses seeking a baccalaureate degree may enroll in our Registered Nurse Baccalaureate Program. Nurses with baccalaureate degrees may continue their education by preparing for advanced practice as Nurse Practitioners or Nurse Midwives**. Post Masters Certificate and Masters Completion options are available. We also offer Master of Science programs in both Nursing Education and Nursing Leadership.
