SB Serves
I'm proud to announce the introduction of the Career Center's community service publication, Stony Brook Serves, to our listserv. The publication is dedicated to recognizing Stony Brook students, faculty, and staff who engage in community service activities individually, in a student group, or through outside internships or employment. In past issues, we have recognized the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), the PAR FORE mentoring program, the Chinese Association at Stony Brook (CASB), Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Alternative Spring Break Outreach (ASBO), and many others. I have been working on this project for a few months, aided by a team of extremely talented Stony Brook students who both write and plan the publication.
If you are part of a student group, volunteer with an amazing nonprofit organization, or know of someone who deserves recognition for their community service efforts, please contact me. We at Stony Brook Serves are committed to recognizing those who volunteer their time and efforts to bring about social change, and to improving the lives of our community members.
If you have any questions or suggestions about the publication, please don't hesitate to contact me. I can be reached by email at tkutujia@notes.cc.sunysb.edu.
