PRESIDENT'S REPORT TO THE
CAMPUS COMMUNITY
Stony Brook’s Five Year Plan for 2000-2005 synthesizes the priorities and concerns of the campus community into specific projects that represent progress toward University goals. This report describes how the projects scheduled for 2004-2005 are being accomplished.
The Five Year Plan sets goals for providing a campus environment in which Stony Brook’s excellent faculty, staff, and students will flourish, and for developing new initiatives that build on current strengths. The goals focus on eight areas: undergraduate students; graduate students and postdoctoral associates; faculty; infrastructure, staff, and administration; campus life; campus facilities; technology transfer, outreach, and fundraising; and facilities maintenance. Forty-eight projects were scheduled for completion this year as steps toward those goals.
The Five Year Plan and each year’s Accomplishment Report are available online and from the President’s Office. For more information, contact Emily Thomas, Director of Planning and Institutional Research, at 632-7272.
