PRESIDENT'S REPORT TO THE
CAMPUS COMMUNITY
Stony Brook's Five Year Plan for 2000-2005 synthesizes the priorities and
concerns of the campus community into specific projects that represent progress
toward University goals. This report describes how the projects scheduled
for 2001-2002 are being accomplished.
The Five Year Plan sets goals for providing a campus environment in which Stony Brook's excellent faculty, staff and students will flourish, and for developing new initiatives that build on current strengths. The goals focus on eight areas: undergraduate students; graduate students and postdoctoral associates; faculty; infrastructure, staff and administration; campus life; campus facilities; technology transfer, outreach and fundraising; and facilities maintenance. Forty-eight projects were scheduled for completion this year as steps toward those goals.
The Five Year Plan and the Report on 2000-01 Accomplishments are available online and from the President's Office. For more information, contact Emily Thomas, Director of Planning and Institutional Research, at 632-7272.
