HOW TO IDENTIFY PROPOSALS
From the COEUS Home Page, click on My Proposals. This function
provides a means to search for all existing proposals and to create new
proposals. When chosen, the screen will initially display the Proposals in
Progress screen. Five new links are then listed immediately under the COEUS
Home navigation pane: All Proposals, Proposals in Progress, Create
New Proposal, Proposal Search and Grants.gov Opportunity Search.

C.2. LOCATE AN EXISTING PROPOSAL
1. Click
the My Proposals link near the top of the page after logging in.
2. Display the proposal(s): you can either
(a) click Proposals In Progress to display proposals associated with
your ID that have been started, but not yet submitted or (b) click All
Proposals to displays all proposals associated with your ID.
3. Select
the desired proposal by clicking on it.

C.3. GRANTS.GOV OPPORTUNTY SEARCH
The Grants.gov Opportunity
Search provides a direct connection to the Grants.gov website where an Opportunity
Id or CFDA Number can be verified.

The screen below shows you where either one of these
two parameters may be used to search the Grants.gov database. When the Search
link is clicked, Grants.gov will search its database and return the Opportunity
Title and Competition Id as verification that it is
a valid Grants.gov opportunity.

At any time, the Print link on the navigation pane may
be selected to view and/or print the forms associated with the proposal. All
forms are brought up in a PDF format and may then be checked for accuracy on
the screen and/or printed as needed.

- Select
Print to open the Proposal Print screen.
- For paper submissions, select Sponsor Form Packages.
- Select Show or Hide to expand the
available forms.
- Select All to check
all the forms available in the displayed group, or you can check
individual forms. Select None to
clear all checked selections on the list, or uncheck individually.
- For S2S submissions, select Grants.gov on the Proposal
navigation pane to view the Grants.gov forms.
- Select Show or Hide to expand the
available forms.
- Select All to
check all the forms available in the displayed group, or you can check
individual forms. Select None to clear
all selections on the list, or uncheck individually.
- Select
Print Selected to print. A new browser window opens the selected
forms in PDF format where the form may be printed or saved.
Copying an existing proposal is
especially useful for preparing a Grants.gov Change/Corrected
applications, or for updating and resubmitting a similar work to the
same or another sponsor.
- Select Copy Proposal
from the Proposal navigation pane. If you are authorized to create
proposals in more than one Unit, you will be prompted to select a Lead
Unit.
- Select Copy Budget
on the next screen that opens. Select Copy Final Version Only (or
the version most appropriate to your new proposal needs).
- Select Copy Attachments.
(If appropriate --most of these files will need to be replaced for all but
Grants.gov Change/Corrected applications.) The copied Proposal is
created and appears on the My Proposals screen as the highest proposal
number in the list.
- Select Copy Questionnaire. (If appropriate - revise your responses as needed.)
NOTE:
When the Copy Proposal option includes Copy Attachments,
COEUS will copy all the attachment types and uploaded files. These copied
attachment types will only be valid for re-use as a system-to-system (s2s)
submission if the copied proposal links to the same or similar Grants.gov
opportunity. If the user navigates to Upload Attachments, all of the copied
types - even Grants.gov opportunity specific - can be viewed and maintained prior
to linking the newly copied proposal to a valid Grants.gov opportunity.
5. Return to My Proposals to
select and open the new copied proposal.

NOTE:
Update your Copied Proposal
elements!
- Adjust
the start and end dates to meet your new submission requirements, if
necessary.
- Link

Opportunity Number info will copy, but you still need to complete the
link.
