The Monthly Award Summary (MAS) and Monthly Project Summary (MPS) Reports contain summaries and details of actual current month expenditures. These reports, which contain seven sections, provide award or project level expenditure details needed to determine the status of an account budget.

Obtaining Access to the MAS and MPS Reports
To access the MAS and MPS reports, you need to have a Lotus
Notes account. Access is restricted to Principal
Investigators, Project Directors and their delegates. These
reports may be accessed using the Lotus Notes client or the
web browser.
Principal Investigators requesting access for themselves and/or their administrative delegates should send an email to Anthony Devietro or Marie Bilbao, who administer the database security.
Accessing Using the Web Browser
The MAS/MPS databases can be accessed using a Web browser. You will be asked to login to the selected database using your Lotus Notes user ID and password. The URLs for the databases are:

You may copy and paste the reports into Microsoft Word and print them as desired. It is recommended to use landscape page orientation to avoid text wrapping in the report.
Accessing Using the Lotus Notes Client
When you are authorized to access MAS and/or MPS reports you are sent an e-mail with two small, book-shaped icons.
![]()
Clicking on the small icons adds the required database icons (permanently) to your Lotus Notes Workspace.
![]()
Clicking on one of the icons will produce a list of the reports that the user is authorized to view for the calendar year specified in the icon name. The left-hand panel in the resulting display provides the opportunity to see all available reports (either MPS or MAS) or only reports for a given month.
It is not possible to resize the report within the database. The reports have been preformatted so as to be printable on standard 8.5 X 11 inch paper in landscape mode. It is recommended that you copy and paste the report in Microsoft Word or any other word processing program to resize or custom print the report.
To Obtain Current Award and Project Information
MAS and MPS reports give you summaries up to the previous month. For the most current financial details on your Award/Project, you may login to the RF Business System using Principal Investigator Award Information (PIAI).
For access and additional information, you may contact Tony DeVietro at 2-9840.
