MISSION STATEMENT
The Stony Brook University Incubator at Calverton is an economic development
tool designed to foster the growth and success of entrepreneurial companies
by providing them with an array of business support, resources and services.
The main goals of the business incubator are to provide services and
resources that will enable firms to grow and leave the program financially
viable and freestanding and to be in and of itself a dynamic model of
a sustainable, efficient business operation. The Calverton business
incubator aspires to have a positive impact on the economic health of
the community that it services through the new jobs created by its graduates,
the commercialization of critical new technologies and the revitalization
of neighborhoods in which its graduates locate.
