The Property Control Department is dedicated to assisting the campus in many areas. We issue assets for equipment with the criteria set for each expenditure area. We send out annual inventories of equipment located in each department to verify its location, and perform physical inventories of departments as often as possible. Fixed Asset (items with a threshold of $5,000 as of 9/16/02, and above) inspections are done bi-ennial. In addition, Property Control provides a service to all departments on campus for the pick ups and re-distribution of surplused furniture throughout Stony Brook University as well as other "State" agencies.
