We are pleased to announce the launch of an advertising campaign to educate consumers about the new Stony Brook Medicine brand, reinforcing our commitment to providing the highest-quality patient care, renowned medical research and exemplary healthcare education.
This week we are initiating a campaign consisting of television, radio, newspaper, magazine and online advertising to target Stony Brook Medicine's core audience of healthcare consumers in Suffolk County. The goal of the campaign is to educate decision-makers about the benefits of our medical enterprise under the new Stony Brook Medicine brand.
Stony Brook Medicine harnesses the powerful benefits of academic medicine by providing a talented team of medical experts who provide "the best ideas in medicine." It creates a more powerful, unified identity for all of the healthcare services provided by Stony Brook faculty and staff.
The new brand is strongly aligned with Stony Brook University's focus on research and academics, and unites the University Hospital, Stony Brook Children's Hospital, the five schools of the health sciences and all of our off-campus patient-care facilities.
The initial phase of the campaign will appear through June 30, with elements of the campaign running throughout the next two to three years. It builds on our prior campaign, which ran from 2008 to 2011 and resulted in increased awareness and preference for the Stony Brook brand.
