Apply for a Parking Permit
- Faculty/Staff Permit
- You may apply for a parking permit as soon as University records show your status as an active Faculty/Staff.
- Life Sciences 1, Life Sciences 2 & Simons Center Permits
- Life Sciences 1 permits only allow permit holders to park in the Life Sciences 1 gated parking lot, Life Sciences 2 permits only allow permit holders to park in the Life Sciences 2 parking lot and Simons Center permits only allow permit holders to park in the Simons Center gated parking lot. Please be advised that all four of these permit holder types may also utilize any Faculty/Staff parking lot as well.
- Life Sciences 1, Life Sciences 2 and Simons Center parking permits have limited availability. As indicated in the availability table above, if any of these premium permits are available, please go to Parking Services, 2nd Floor, Administration Building Lobby to make your purchase on a first-come, first-served basis. If the permit is sold out, please log in and utilize our waitlist process. Please be advised that any Faculty/Staff member who does not maintain "active" status at any point in time, will automatically be removed from the waitlist.
Important: Offerings to waitlist applicants will be announced via the Message Center in the SOLAR System.

Renew a Parking Permit
Parking permits are not renewed automatically. You must renew online using the Stony Brook Parking Permit System by clicking the link below.
