Stony Brook Nuclear Structure Laboratory

The Nuclear Structure Laboratory is part of the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Stony Brook University, and is supported by the National Science Foundation. Our research is focused primarily on the study of nuclear structure and reaction mechanisms using heavy ion beams produced by the tandem-superconducting linac accelerator facility.
